While all the water supplies of McHenry are entirely safe for human use, the excess iron In the unflltered supplies is less than deslreable. As of this date, the City expects Well Pump 05 to be back in place and on line, as a filtered water source# by Friday, June 2V1985. The re installation of 05 Well Pump will permit the discountinuance of 01 Well Pump on a regular basis during the cooler summer days. Ho wever, should the weather turn hot and dry for extended periods, Well 07 Will again be used to maintain adequate tank levels for fire protect tlon and safe system pressures. The City requests that the customers please be patient while the Public Works Dept. and Water Dept. can get the well pumps back on tine and eliminate these "rusty" water com plaints.
