Several first-time artists will participate in the 10th annual Woodstock Art Fair in the Woodstdck Square on Sunday, August 18, Jim Campion, chairman, said. The Art Fair-a juried show featuring fine art by 100 artists- is presented by the Professional Division of the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Campion said the list of artists accepted shows entries from Michigan, Iowa, Indiana and Illinois. Included will be oil paintings, "water colors, d rawings , pho tography , sculptures, and mixed media. The prize money has been increased and an additional $1,000 in guaranteed purchases is offered exhibitors. Local individual patrons of the arts and businesses are providing the $1,000 in guarenteed purchases. The "Best of Show" prize will be $400. Second prize will be $200. Third prize will be $100. In addition, $50 will be awarded to the next six winners-a total of $1,000 in prize money. Committee members include Jim Campion, chair­ man; Barbara Campion, Maude Kiltz, Barbara Caron, Victor Meuch, and Don Peasley. The * Woodstock Art Fair is presented in the Woodstock City Square, ^and admission is free. In addition, entertainment will be provided for the first time with a strolling minstrel, Mark Weiss. Weiss, a Chicagoan, will play a mandolin and a guitar.
