CL woman killed in car crash ;boar A Crystal Lake woman was killed Friday when her car apparently crossed the center line on Lake Avenue in Woodstock and struck a dump- truck, police said. The victim was identified as Yvonne M. McCarthy, 26, of 311 Second St., Crystal Lake. According to reports, Mc­ Carthy was eastbofind in the 1100 block of Lake Avenue when she reportedly crossed the center line and crashed into a dumptruck driven by Roger J. May, of 3013 Thompson Road, Wonder Lake. May, 44, and McCarthy were the only occupants of their vehicles. May told police he veered to the right to avoid the collision but could not. May was taken to Memorial Hospital for McHenry County, Woodstock, for treatment of injuries. The collision occurred at 2:24 p.m. July 12.
