They were married June 1,1985 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Beloit, Wis. Maid of honor was Kim Carl son; bridesmaids were Linda Rodri guez, Jodi Hanson, and Kilia Mahlum. Russell-Beekman Best man was Brian Donner, and groomsmen were Dan Dehmlow, Brian Wanner, and David Granger. Ushers were Vince and Dan Cotter. Teresa received a bachelor of sci ence degree in biology from Illinois State University. John received a bachelor of sci ence degree from Illinois State Uni versity, and is employed by the U.S. Navy. Karyn Nell Russell and George Francis Beekman III were married June 8, 1985, at the First Congrega tional Church, Crystal Lake. Karyn is the daughter of William and Bernice Russell. George's par ents are Marie Beekman. and the late Francis Beekman. The tone of the wedding was set by the brass quintet which trumpet ed the joining together of Karyn and George. The Rienzi Brass Band of Scott Ashley included two trumpets and a trombone, french horn and tuba. 1 The bride wore a white, Empire style gown of dacron organza, with ruffled front and back yokes, illu- sion-type, lace-trimmed sleeves, a full skirt having a chapel-length train, which was higli-lighted by a large corsage of pink roses that she carried along the aisle. Her garland of white, baby-breath flowers crowning her head, was matched by the garlands of pink flowers of the bridesmaids. The bridesmaids -- Laurie Beek man, Neicy Thorsen and Kirsten Albrecht -- wore pink, organza gowns with caplet sleeves. Keri Lynn Nacker, niece of the bride, was a flower gir! who carried a peony-filled flower basket, berib- boned in satin, strewing a few flow er petals at the celebration. Christopher and Richard Jones, nephews of the groom, each seized as ring bearers and wore white, satin cummerbunds. The groomsmen were David Thackery, Richard Lipinski and Douglas Anderson, and the ushers were Larry Thorsen and Wayne Nacker. Marie Beekman, mother of the groom, wore a cream gown, offset by pearls. A dinner reception at Lakeside Center immediately followed the reception. A second band, led by Mike Bu- zan, was a quintet with a soloist, that provided music for the recep tion. The evening prior to the wed ding included a rehearsal dinner at t h e O l d C o u r t H o u s e I n n , Woodstock. Friends and relatives who attend ed the wedding came from Califor nia and Massachusetts, as well as the Middle West: George received a bachelor's of science degree from Indiana Uni versity and Purdue University.
