Christine Cannell, B30, won first place in the baby contest. She won $55,a lamp, a stuffed dog, a care bear book, an eight by 10 color portrait, jewelry, $10 for her new savings account, a turtle pa jama bag, a water pik and five free weeks of diaper service. Jeremiah Matchner, B29, won second place. He received $35, a scooter plush seal puppet, Jewelery, $5 for his new savings account, a coloring book, crayons and ceramic care bear plaque. Carissa Rob&ts, B8, won third place. She received $25, a curity bear, Muppit Babies bubble bath, jewelry,$5 for her new savings ac­ count, a book and a ceramic care bear plaque. Kimberly Adams, T15, placed third. She received $25, two books and crayons, scooter plush seal pup­ pet, a free hair cut or style, dinner for two, a savings account plus $5 and a ceramic care bear plaque. Jennifer Schuh, T25, was'fourth place winner and received a Panda belt, matching wallet, two books and crayons, a free pizza, two $5 gift certificates and a free hair cut or style. Dawn Wolter, T29, won fifth place and received three books and cray­ ons, a Panda belt and matching Wallet, a $5 gift certificate, a free pizza and a free hair cut or style. Swim team seeks members Theater group Yvonne Alton, center, of McHenry goes through a dress rehearsal of the play "Any Wednesday" with fellow performers Chris Lindberg and Larry Bulknan. The play concludes its final weekend performace August 9-10 at the PM&L Theater in Antioch. The Camp Duncan Dolphin Swim Team is actively seeking new mem­ bers for their 1985418 competitive season which begins in October. The Dolphins accept swimmers between the ages of six and 18 years who have passed beginning swimming. The Camp Duncan YMCA will of­ fer a Pre-season Stroke Clinic be­ ginning Sept. 13 and will run on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings for seven weeks. The clin­ ic will offer inctruction on stroke techniques, starts turns and condi­ tioning and will enable swimmers to see and learn what a swim team is all about before joining the Dolphins in October. Sign up for seven week Stroke Clinic starts Aug. 26th for members at a cost of $20. Non-member sign up will start Sept. 3 at a cost of $30. These classes will be on a pay as you go basis. The classes include me morning class at 8 a.m. and one evening class at 7:20 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. Family mem­ bers are also welcome. Cost for non- YMCA members is $5 a class. The fall schedule will be ready Sept. 3. Registration begins Aug. 20. Call 459-4455 for more information. The YMCA is located south of Route 14 and 31 intersection in Crystal Lake. BMX race is planned the Lake Region YMCA BMX Race Schedule will continue on Sept. 7 at 6 p.m. A special race for preschoolers on Hot Wheels will be run. Preschoolers also will be required to wear helmets and gear just like older riders. The fee for preschool­ ers is $3 with awards being given to each age division for each partici­ pant. Helmets may be rented at the YMCA the night of the race. Also, at this race the point stand­ ings will be distributed of the top 20 riders on the Lake Region YMCA track. Beginners are welcome with awards being given to all beginners with the top three finishers receiv­ ing awards in all other classes. The cost is $6 for beginners and $7 for all other classes.
