"I came to -Mew York City when I was 18 to have head-shot photos msds so that I could go out on act­ ing auditions in Boston, and the photographer sug­ gested thst I try model­ ing," remembers Miss Joyner. "For two years. I poeed for magazine cov­ ers and did TV commer­ cials in Europe and Japan. "The modeling afforded, me the opportunity to trav­ el ail over the world, and I realty had a great time." After her successful modeling stint in Europe. Miss Joyner returned to the United States. With her background in regional theater and in off-Broad­ way roles. it wasn't long before she landed the role of SariRh. Like her character. Miss Joyner is an accomplished musician-songwriter. 'M play the piano and write some of my own songs." says Miss Joyner. "But I had to rush out and enroll in 'gbitar ciRRses when I learned that the stor Wine would have Sa­ rah drumming end hum­ ming romantic love songs that she pens herself." When she's not appear­ ing Qn the ftnall screen. Miss vj/fcer, who was raised in the Berkshire Mountains of Connecticut, likes to spend time in up­ state New York, where she keeps two hunter/jumper horses.
