Food Adding onion soup to trout a tasty switch For fishermen -- as well as the stay-at-homes -- here's a flavorful recipe idea from the Lipton Kitchens. Simply season trout or other freshwater fish inside and out with convenient instant onion soup mix. As the fish cooks, it takes on a delightful onion flavor. For an interesting complement, serve with a tasty tomato sa^ce easily prepared at home. Just combine Instant tomato soup mix, dill weed and slivered almonds in a small plastic bag and tuck in with the supplies. At the campsite, add boiling water to the sauce ingredients, and instantly you have a rich, flavorful tomato sauce to enhance your prize catch! Fisherman's Pride 2 envelopes Onion Cup-a-Soup 2 trout or freshwater fish, cleaned 2 tablespoons dry bread crumbs V4 cup butter, margarine or oil Instant Camp-Style Tomato Sauce* « Sprinkle Vfe envelope instant onion soup mix inside each trout. Mix remaining envelope instant onion soup mix with bread crumbs; coat trout. In large skillet, melt butter and cook trout, turning once, 10 minutes or until fish flakes. Serve, if desired, with Instant Camp-Style Tomato Sauce. Makes 2 servings. 'Instant Camp-Style Tomato Sauce: In small plastic bag, mix together 1 envelope Lipton Tomato Cup-a-Soup, y8 teaspoon dill weed and 1 tablespoon slivered almonds. Hearty Cod and Grapefruit Salad i iv 3-4Servings i'i 1 one-pound pkg. frozen North Atlantic Cod fillets (sole, haddock or flounder may be substituted) 2 grapefruits, peeled and cut in sections 1 avocado, peeled and sliced 1 carrot, grated Leaf lettuce Lemon Yogurt Do not thaw frozen fish. Brush fish lightly with margarine or oil, bake in non-stick or lightly greased shallow pan in center of oven for 20 minutes. (For fresh fish, lay fillet flat and measure at thickest part. Bake at 450° F. for 10 minutes per inch of thickness.) Chill fish and break into chunks. Arrange grapefruit, avocado and carrot on leaf lettuce. Top with fish. Serve with lemon yogurt. Easy Oven Baked Cod 2-3 Servings 1 one-pound pkg. frozen North Atlantic Cod V4 cup milk Vfe cup cereal or bread crumbs 1 tablespoon butter or margarine Allow frozen fish to stand, unwrapped, at room temperature for 20 minutes. Cut into three equal portions. Dip top of each portion in milk and crumbs. Place on shallow lightly greased pan and dot with butter or margarine. Bake in 450° F. oven for 20-25 minutes or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork. (For fresh fish, lay fillet flat and measure at thickest part. Bake at 450° F. for 10 minutes per inch of thickness.)
