H Community Prenatal classes and open house scheduled Ladies Guild installs new officers Memorial Hospital's Maternity center makes having a baby a "family affair", with both pre-natal Expectant Parent classes and a Sib ling Open House during Sept. ^Pre-natal classes will be'held Mondays, Sept. 9, 16,and 23 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the hospital's Margaret Phillips Conference Center. <The Sib ling Open House will be held,1 Sun day Sept. 29, from 2 to 4 p.nr. in the hospital's maternity center. " During the free parent classes, fraternity center nurses will pro vide important information on pre natal care and nutrition, labor and (j|elivery, and newborn care. Partic ipants will also tour the Maternity Center and view the birthing room. "Expectant parents should plan to attend," said Pam Ofsanik, R.N,, nurse manager of the maternity center. "Especially if the father wishes to remain by the mother's side during the delivery." The Sibling Open House helps ex pectant parents prepare their chil dren for the arrival of a new family member. The program helps young sters become part of the birthing experience, lessening sibling rival ry. Children dress up in doctors's garments, tour the delivery suite, Apply, for scholarships The McHenry Rotary Club has applications available now for 1966- 87 Rotary Fund Scholarships. These scholarships are for one academic year abroad and are available to college sty<$ehts and professional people age 18 to 50. The deadline for applications is Oct. 1,1965. Rotary Fund Scholarships cover round-trip airfare, registration, tu ition and educational fees, essential books, supplies, room and board, and other specified expenses. The scholarships, which stress goodwill and ambassadorship, are for graduate, undergraduate, voca- tionas and journalism students, and teachers of the handicapped. More than 1,200 scholarships will be avail able worldwide to the 439 Rotary International districts in 159 coun tries and geographic regions. Five scholarships will be available to the 47 Rotary Clubs in northern Illinois. During their study year, Rotary Foundation scholars are expected to share their culture and broaden their understanding of others In an active program of people-to-people diplomacy. Workshop for Bible planned The McHenry County Office of Catholic Education is sponsoring a Bible Workshop Day Saturday, Sept. 7, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. It will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 3500 W.
