The two teams were scheduled to begin the best-of-three champion­ ship series Tuesday night at the VFW. If necessary, game three will be played Thursday night at 7 p.m. Decker Construction rolled to the finals by whipping Raymond's Bowl- Huff's Decorating in two straight, 6- 4, and 6-5, last Tuesday. Leading the way for Decker was Brian Miller, who had five hits and three RBI in the games, including a triple and Regular season champs rip K of C to win series, 2-1 home run. The Rockets soared past Harvard 15-9,16-14, coming back from a 14-10 deficit in game two. , , "I thought Harvard would be tough," R-B coacb Jan Welch said. "I was looking forward to a close game, but not that close. But we needed it." Welch said Paula Weber starred for her team defensively. A "She did a great job in the back- court. After the halftime break, Roy came out more aggressive, holding the Se- quoits scoreless in the second half until a meaningless goal with 30 seconds to play. Sytsma credited (no kidding) Cvit­ kovic as the offensive player of the game for his brilliant goal-scoring,, and senior Ron Murray as the War­ riors' defensive standout. "Ron didn't start, he came late in the first quarter, and played some very, very aggressive soccer," said Sytsma. "The kids call him 'Rambo' because he hustles so much and works hard. Besides Ivan, he's the fastest on our team. "Our whole defense played real good, though," Sytsma said. "Trent Castle, Scott Smith, Steve Peter, all did a good job. Jerry Ben- and Murray. They were great getting the ball to Matt so he could clear it out. They all did a great job. Our center midfielder, Mark McClaughry, had a great workout, and our freshmen wings, Greg Grant and Perry Marke were super in their first varsity game." Sytsma was able, to do a lot of things in his first game, including playing all 21 of his white-and-or- ange-clad players. "Antioch's goalie made some nice saves on Ivan," Sytsma said, "and a couple on McClaughry. I moved Jeff Sorensoit to wing, and he did a nice job of feeding Ivan the ball in the second half. Trent Castle had a nice assist to Ivan on the second goal. "Ivan has a lot of speed, and he's very good with the ball," Sytsma "Matt was just exceptional in the second half," complimented Sytsma. "He had two goals float over his head in the first half. It was windy, and the ball got up in the wind and he couldn't do anything about it. But in me second half, he Sytsma's Warriors will try to im­ prove on their 1-0 season and career record when they Wednesday. "I can't ask for anymore. Start a program, win the first gam really ... great," Sytsma said. "Some of the kids, are ready. Antioch did a lot tackles, which we try to discourage.
