Miller be­ came the wife of Darren J. Shay June 22, 1985 in Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, McHenry. The 5:30 p.m. double ring nuptials were officiated by Pastor Roger Schneider. Mrs. Schneider was the organist, and Wally Johnson was soloist. The bride is the daughter of Rob­ ert C. Miller, 2221 Manor Ln., Mc­ Henry, and the late Delores Miller. John J. and Alyce J. Shay, 3804 Millstream Dr., McHenry, are the parents of the bridegroom. Attending the bride as maid of honor was Connie Miliar of Chicago. Bridesmaids were Pat Brown, Ja­ net Neuman, Debbie Vornkahl and Julie Shay, all of McHenry. Handling the duties of best man was Kevin Shay of McHenry. Groomsmen were Dan Vornkahl, Dean Smith and Larry Ekeroth, all of McHenry; and Robert Neuman of California. Jenny Covalt of McHenry was the flower girl; Jim Neuhaus of Genoa City, Wis. was the ring bearer; and Rich Davis and Joey Foreman served as ushers. „ A reception for 225 friends and relatives was held in the McHenry VFW Hall immediately following the ceremony. The new Mr. and Mrs. Shay are "at home" at 3816 W. John St., McHenry. She graduated from Mc­ Henry East Campus in 1982, attend­ ed Don Roberts Beauty School, and is a hairdresser at Fantastic Sam's, McHenry. He graduated from Mc­ Henry West Campus in 1981 and is employed as an equipment operator at McHenry Sand & Gravel of McHenry. James, son of Larry and Patricia Phalin of Cary, is a 1978 graduate of Cary-Grove High School and a 1983 graduate of the University of Idaho. Marianne, daughter of Boyd and Rosemary Founds, of Lewiston, Idaho, is a 1981 graduate of Lewis- ton High School and a 1985 graduate of the University of Idaho. The maid of honor was Natalie Johnson of Colfax, Washington. The best man was Robert Collaer of Mt. Vernon, Washington. Bridesmaids included Marietta Arnzen of Nez Perce, Idaho; Lana Horton of Lew­ iston, Idaho; and Kim Barnett of Orofino, Idaho. Groomsmen were David Phalin of Chicago; Robert Founds of Lewiston, and Tim Prather of Cary. Ushers were Mark Mills of Cicero and Brian Anthony of Blackfoot, Idaho. Marianne recently graduated with a B.S. ln accounting and Jim has a B.S. ln computer science and is employed by I.S. Grupe in Lombard. With motorcycles in the back ground, friends and relatives wit nessed the marriage of bike' enthu siasts Tina Marie Walsh and Robert Bruce Uselding in Pike Marsh at Moraine Hills State Park. The ceremony was presided over by the Preacher of the Sojourners at 2 p.m., June 22. Special music was taped by Mabel Lou Weber of Anti och, 111. Their bouquets, creations of the bride, were light pink roses, ttnyblue flowers and baby's breath, secured to wicker fans, with white satin and lace ribbon streamers. Handling the duties of best man was John Pahnke of McHenry Groomsmen were Guy Pederson and Jerry Thomas, both of Round Lake, 111 The mother of the bride wore a royal blue dress with lace edging the V-neck, long sleeves and a pleat ed skirt. A lavender chiffon, V-neck dress was worn by the groom's mother. One hundred and fifty guests at tended a reception at the Country House In Antioch, and later, the newlyweds embarked on a honey moon which included a tour around Lake Michigan. The new Mrs. Uselding graduated BRIDAL CUSTOMS Bridesmaids originally had a real function at weddings; their job wis to dress the bride for the ln 1978 from Grant Community High School and is presently employed as a meter reader for Commonwealth Edison in Crystal Lake. Her husband, a 1968 graduate oi Onarga Military School, attended Elmhurst Cottage aud it currently a material handler for Sun Electric. Milter-Shay rank-Hutchinson--- « Julie Frank, daughter of Bill and #at Frank of Haegers Bend Road in Algonquin, and Greg Hutchinson, son of Jim and Carol Hutchinson of Sunset Lane in Algonquin, were married Saturday, Aug. 10, 1985 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Algonquin. The clergyman for the 4:30 p.m., double-ring ceremony was the Rev. Rollin F. Kuznik. Terri Mess was the soloist. The bride was given away by her father. Debbie Lawrence, the bride's sis­ ter, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Sue Painter, Cheryll Hutchinson, Joy Lampe and Cathy Hutchinson. The flowergirl was Nicole Lawrence, the bride's niece. Andy Grau was the best man. Groomsmen were Mike Frank, Paul Doyle, Jim Lawrence and Barry Mess. Ushers were Mark Kozlowski and Geoff Hutchinson. The reception was held at the Pheasant Run Resort In St. Charles.
