Pastor Donald Johnson, who served the parish the first three years of its existence, will return to bring greetings to the congregation. Mayor Bill Busse will also be on hand to congratulate the parish on its programs, which have been used as models for other mission starts across the United States. The vari ous choirs in the parish will provide special music for all of the worship services. Members of the community are invited to join the twentieth anniver sary celebration, as well as all pro-. grams in the parish. Voting registration will be closed from Monday, Sept. 30, through the Nov.5, non-partisan election, resum ing Thursday, Nov. 7. Margaret Karas is the official registrar in our area. LAKEMOOR VACANCY^ Ron Robinette, Public Works Ad ministrator with Lakemoor, has an opening in the Public Works Depart ment for a person who has a work ing knowledge of the equipment used for village upkeep, and the ability to do snow plowing and other necessary tasks to keep the village in good condition. For information call the village clerk, 385-1117 or the Public Works Department, 385-2936. CAMPSITES Peggy and A1 Groski have been enjoying the use of their camper and are discovering McHenry County parks that are great places to spend overnights. A favorite spot is Maren go Ridge north of Marengo, com plete with fishing pond. Peggy rey ports the campgrounds under McHenry Conservation Department are well kept, have good facilities and are truly fun. And the price is right! « •* ESPRIT DE CORPS Members of Lakemoor's fund rais ing organization, the Esprit de Corps, have decided to use the mon ey raised with past ventures for items needed for village use. The purchase of a weed eater will cut down on man hours needed to clear the beach and road sides, allowing the workers to accomplish more in other areas. The group is disbanding, primari ly due to heavy schedules. They ap preciate the support of the residents, and will use the money raised for the benefit of all Lakemoorites. BIRTHDAYS Harold Nixon, Jr. of Lakemoor celebrates his day, Sept. 19, the ne day that Brian McCoy starts velfth year. James Mentzer of Jlyltioor, active with the Crime », adds a year Sept. 22. Jessi ca Jtojes and Marie Hall will also receive birthday wishes on the 22nd.
