North Shore by Ruth Risley N SATURDAY evening of this week society will assemble at the Winnetka Woman's ciub for the benefit performance to be given for the Henry Booth House, "The House by the Side of the Road." On this occasion two attractive plays will be given. The Junior League Players presenting "The Worsted Man," a comedy with music by John Kendrick Bangs. The cast of characters will include the Misses Florence Folds, Marion Farns- worth, Margaret Hambleton, Louise Hassert, Lucretia Green, Eilleen Kelly, Frances Thorne and Mary Rend. "The Land of Heart's Desire," will be presented by the Henry Booth House Play- ers. This is a study in Folk Lore, one hundred vears back, by Wil- liam Butler Yates. Mrs. D. Dallas resigned from the presidency and Mrs. Robert Stevenson, Jr. was elected to fill her place. The plans of the finance committee were later discussed. Several people of Win- netka responded to the appeal for funds recently sent out by the socie- ty. but only a small portion of the | amount needed has been received and | it is hoped the public will keep in mind the very special need for money this year to do the work planned. The society hopes to raise the re- quired amount of $3,500 within the next few weeks. Philip Swift, who have been at the apartment of Mr. Swift's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed- ward F. Swift of 1550 North State parkway, Chicago, since their return froin the east, have taken a house in Winnetka for the summer months. They moved out last Monday. 3 Last Mr. and Mrs. William M. Hoyt and Miss Josephine Landon of 550 Sher- idan road, have returned from their winter place at Green Cove Springs, Florida. Mrs. E. E. Stearns and children returned with them and are visiting Mrs. Stearns' parents, Mr. and Mrs. N.
