|* WINNETKA WEEKLY TALK, SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 1920 Stop the Lundin- Thompson-Tammany Plot to Plunder The City Hall Tammany, which has bank- rupted the City of Chicago by its frenzied career of extravagance and waste, and has doubled your tax rate, is plotting to extend its power and control to the state government, the state legislature, the sanitary district, the county offices, the park boards, the judiciary, the state's attorney's office and the county judge and the election machmery of Chicago. The state and city will be helpless in the clutches of this Tammany if this plot 1s success- ful. Taxes would be boosted continuously, un- spent millions in the treasuries of the state, the sanitary district and the park boards would be squandered, and political henchmen would continue to draw $150 and $100 daily. The time to defeat the Lundmn-Thompson- Tammany 1s now. Vote for candidates of the National Repub- lican party whose names appear in the next column, at the Primary, Wednesday, Sep- ember 15, and stop the spoilsmen from ex- tending ther power.
