Frederick Shannon of the Central church of Chicago is to have the stage again at the Wilmette Woman's club on Wednesday, February 22, at 2:30 o'clock, this occasion under the auspices of the Philanthropy depart- ment. Those of us who heard Dr. Shannon on his previous appearance here know what a brilliant speaker he is and what a rare treat is in store tor every woman of the village whether or not she is a member of the Woman's club. Following a pre- cedent of bygone years, Philanthropy Day is open to the public. The musical part of the program will be furnished by Arthur H. During the month of January 1,100 ex-service men were given lodging, and 900 men were provided with meals at this hostelry.
