You are to go forth on Sunday afternoon, to the homes of your neighbors, with the story of Community House--what it has done in |the past for Winnetka--what it hopes to do in the future, if equipped for its larger task. There 1s no finer service than this, the spreading of the gospel of community spirit. You could not possibly do more for your village than thus to present to your neighborhood the vital necessities of Winnetka's central institution. Be reporter to those who, perchance, do not yet know the whole story of Community House service. Be counselor to those of inquiring mind who seek to understand the real place of Community House in our common village life. Be sympathetic with those, who, eager to do much, can afford to give but little. Be tactful with [those who can give much but who thoughtlessly may do less than they should. Wear a smile as you go. 'Tis a cheerful countenance that winneth friends. Be thorough in your work, omitting no one. Be courteous at all times.
