-- 14 WINNETKA WEEKLY TALK, SATURDAY, AUGUST 19, 1922 NEW MAIL GARRIER HOUTE OPEN MONDAY Postmaster Adams Asks Public to Co-operate in Perfecting Service REACH INDIAN HILL Post Office Receives Special Truck Another rural postal route for Win- netka starts Monday. This will necessitate the re-routing of the entire Winnetka mail delivery | service. The residents of Scott, | Prairie and Ash avenues, west of Ver- non avenue, will be included in the new run, which will reach out past the Indian Hill grounds. Postmaster E. E. Adams has been planning this addition for some time, but was forced to wait for an allow-| ance for a truck and another man. | "The service in this district has not been all that it might," Mr. Adams declared, "and we are as anxious as anybody to see that it gets into good shape again. We will have to ask the people to be patient for a time, while we get the system adjusted. Much Redistricting "If residents of the district will do their best to co-operate with us, things will be running smoothly soon. Of course with the re-districting, there is bound to be a little confusion. If eople on the new route will install out mail boxes with their names upon hem, they will aid us immensely. Any new people coming to the village, or any change of address should be re- corded in our office. What we want is to give service. That's what we're here for, and we want to get the fullest measure of co-operation Dpos- sible. We Shall Present Dan With a Life- Size Photograph They haven't ceased casting pleas- ant jibes at our own Daniel Boone Noe, Village Purchasing Agent, in re. that fish story he sprang a while back when he returned from the north woods. Out in California, Los Angeles, to be exact, Robert A. Fischer, a former Winnetkan, who is a faithful sub- scriber to The. Talk, collects pictures of big fish and sends them on to The Talk, to be in turn placed in the hands of Daniel. The latest view is that of a 600- pound sea bass caught off Venice, Cal. "Better show this to Dan", Fischer writes. It is to be recalled that Dan used to tell fish stories until the game warden heard a few of 'em and set the value at $67 plus.
