WINNETKA WEEKLY TALK, SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21, 1922 WOMEN VOTERS TALK OVER BALLOT [55UE3 League of Women Voters Calls Meetings Mrs. Florence Kelly, national secre- tary of the Consumers league, will speak at the Winnetka Woman's club Wednesday evening, October 25, on the subject, "The Eight Hour Law for Women," under auspices of the Win- netka League of Women Voters. In addition to the specific subject, Mrs. Kelly will discuss other import- ant measures that the women leaders of the country are endeavoring to have enacted into law by the legisla- tures of those states that are still en- dangering the lives of women by hold- ing them to unwarranted long hours of labor, Seek Local Support "We need the support of every woman voter on these measures," reads an announcement issued from headquarters of the Winnetka league of Women Voters. "The meeting will be held at 3 o'clock. "On Wednesday evening, Novem- ber 1, at 8 o'clock, we are to have a candidates' meeting. The men ana women on the Cook County Commis- sioners' ticket, representing the coun- try towns territory, with the ecandi- dates for the presidency of the Board of Cook County Commissioners, have been invited to meet you and to dis- cuss with you the management of our great Cook county institutions and the spending of your money. Come and hear the cadidates upon whom you will vote on November 7. Talks on Constitution "On Thursday evening, November 23, at 8 o'clock, at the Winnetka Wom- an's club," reads an appending an- nouncement, "Judge Cutting and Mr. Olander will give important informa- tion on the proposed new constitution for the state of Illinois giving oppo- site opinions on many points. We vote for our new Constitution on December 12. "Come and invite your friends and let these leaders help you toward more intelligent voting on our Con- stitution. The league meetings are open to all." Organize Democratic Women for Congressional Election The State Democratic Central com- mittee has completed its organization of women for the Tenth district in the approaching Congressional election. Chairmen for the various north shore towns are: Evanston, Mrs. Jean P. Washburne; Wilmette, Mrs. Oscar Schmidt; Kenilworth, Mrs. James Murrray; New Trier Township, in- cluding Indian Hill, Mrs, Sanger Brown; Winnetka, Mrs. Frank R. Ful ler; Hubbard Woods, Mrs. J.
