The general charge is true enough, perhaps, but the reasons are not a matter of sex. Women have had in the past so few subjects of gen- eral interest. Men, on the other hand, have had the whole world of business and politics in which to find topics for talk with others who have dwelt with them in the midst of things. It is one of the developments of the age that feminine conversation is being emancipated from the bounds of domestic troubles and personalities about mutual acquaintances into the fields of business and national public affairs. New Trier Tankers Capture Second in Interscholastic New Trier High school swimmers took second place in the annual Illi- nois Athletic club Interscholastic meet at Chicago last Thursday eve- ning. Although the north shore men won no first places, consistent garnering of seconds, thirds and fourths finally totalled 18 points, enough to net the team second postition, Hyde Park taking firet honors. The team lost six points on a dis- qualification in the relay.
