CHRISTMAS CONCERT DELIGHTS AUDIENCE The Christmas season was impres- sively inaugurated Sunday afternoon when a large audience heard a pro- gram of Christmas music rendered by the music organizations at New Trier High School in co-operation with several soloists, and the Christ church choir at Winnetka under direction of Mr. Ellis Chase, choirmaster and organist. Soloist of the afternoon were, Miss Mildred Lund of Evanston, soprano, who replaced Miss Moschel who was absent because of illness; Mr. Snyder, tenor, and Mr. Grigsby, baritone. A particularly effective rendition was that of the famous St. Cecelia Mass by Gounod, which was sung by the combined groups. The Christ church choir sang the Te Deum in B Minor, by Buck, and There Were Shepherds Abiding in the Field, by Vincent, with great beauty and splendid harmony. The orchestra delighted with the Andante from the Fifth Symphony by Tschaikowsky. HERMIT AND CROW TO STAGE "WHY WORRY" "Why Worry!" This is the name of Hermit and Crow's coming show, to be given at the New Evanston theatre Jan. 18 and 19. it was an- nounced at rehearsal Sunday. The management has made ar- rangements to use the new theatre, though at a higher rate of rental than the club has ever before paid, go that the show may be given here in Evanston. Heretofore the stu- dents attending the larger campus productions have either had to make the long troublesome trip to the loop, or else the one north to New Trier. The rehearsals show better mate rial than has appeared in a Hermit and Crow preduction in years and the chorus and cast both show the results of hard work under Leroy Prinz's able direction. It is stated that the chorus for "Girls, Girls, Girls" is as well bal- anced as any of old Zieg. himself, and there are twenty-four "fair dam- sels" in it. Regular rehearsals will be held to- morrow from 7:30 to 11 p. m. at the Woman's study room in U.
