WINNETKA WEEKLY TALK, SATURDAY, DECEMBER 23, 1922 WOMEN WILL HONOR WOMAN LEGISLATOR Plan a Great Ceremony at Springfield Jan. 3 Names are being sent in large num- bers daily to the main office of the Illinois League of Women Voters, 151 North Michigan avenue, Chicago, so that the list of women who will ac- company Mrs. Lottie O'Neill to Springfield promises to be a large one. Mrs. Lottie O'Neill, of the 41st senatorial district is the first woman represenatative in Illinois and her seating on January 3 is held as a mat- ter for great rejoicing. A special train will leave the Chi- cago and Alton station at 7 o'clock that morning, arriving in Springfield at 11 o'clock. There will be several hundred women marching with Mrs. O'Neill to the capitol. Mrs. O'Neill's friends from the 41st district will accompany her to her seat, while the others take their places in the gal- lery. Every woman will wear a large button, which will indicate her dis- trict and will in turn introduce Mrs. O'Neill to her senator and representa- tives respectively. In the afternoon the Chamber of Commerce of Spring- field have invited the visiting women on an automobile tour through the city.
