Miss Hypes, who is well known along the north shore, and who is the daugh- ter of Mr. and Mrs. W. EF. Hypes, of 1126 Michigan avenue, Evanston, re- turned in the early fall from Florence, Italy, where she spent the past winter studying with Mario Ancona, a former member of the Metropolitan Opera company. She has also been a pupil of Miss Clara Munger and Maurice Parker of Boston and New York. Under the direction of F. Wight Neumann, and with Mrs. W. F.
