gr A WINNETKA WEEKLY TALK, SATURDAY, JANUARY 19, 1924 13 2nd Chamber Music Concert at Kenilworth Club Jan. 27 HE second program in the series of Chamber Music concerts pre- sented by the North Shore chapter of the Musical guild will be given on Sunday afternoon, January 27, at 4 o'clock at the Kenilworth club. The same artists who delighted the audience on November 11, will give the program. They are Madame Ella Spravka, pianist; Richard Czerwonky, viol, and Robert Ambrosius, cellist. Two trios will be played, the Beethoven B flat major, and the G minor by Smetana. As a result of these concerts a North Shore Chamber Music society is being organized and there are plans for the appearance of noted artists in the com- munity next season. A special price on season tickets will be made to members The North Shore British American Social club will enjoy "A Nicht Wae Burns at Community House" on Fri- day evening, January 25, when the third annual "Burns" supper will be given at 7:30 o'clock. Owing to the big demand for tickets, it has been found necessary to secure the gym- nasium for the affair, and the com- mittee hopes to have a large number of the American residents avail them- selves of the opportunity to enjoy a real Scotch evening. The program which commenced at 2:30 o'clock, was comprised of 24 numbers, artistically rendered. In- vitations were issued to about 75 guests. ---- On Tuesday, January 22, Lorenzo Johnson's daughters are giving a bridge party for her at her residence on Sheridan road, on the occasion of her birthday. Mrs. Johnson is leav- ing Winnetka on January 25, to spend the remainder of the winter in Pasa- dena. --_--Q-- A farewell party of thirty-four guests, was held last Friday evening at the home of Miss Margaret Stultz, 418 Sheridan road, for Miss Joy Fair- man, who left this week for Europe. Miss Fairman expects to return to Winnetka about the latter part of May. --0-- Many residents of Winnetka will re- gret to learn that Mrs. Jonas Madsen and her daughter, Miss Gladys, of 528 Fir street, are leaving Winnetka to make their home in Evanston.
