Rich- ards is opening her home at 1240 North avenue, Hubbard Woods, for a tea to be given on Tuesday afternoon, April 29, at 3:30 o'clock. Mrs. J..iT. Siddall, Jr., of Glencoe, president of the Arden shore board, Miss Anna Belle Ferrier, camp superintendent, and Miss Alma Stuart, trained nurse at the camp, will be guests that after- noon, who will talk informally of the work of the association. Four boys from Arden Shore will be there to entertain with their singing. This tea is not only given for the Winnetka Arden Shore committee, but for those villagers who take an interest in the work carried on by the camp and who desire its success. Mrs. Richards, who is the Winnetka chairman, will be assisted during the tea hour by members of her committee which includes: Mrs. Norman Harris, Press chairman; Mrs. Hubert Howard, In- dustrial chairman: Mrs. Fletcher Marsh, Big Brother chairman; Mrs. John Montgomery, Driving chairman; Mrs. J. McIlvaine of Hubbard Woods, was one of those attending the meeting of the Garden Clubs of America, held during several days of this week in Richmond, Virginia. Mr. William Hadley will give a talk on "Early Days in Winnetka." Miss Veeda Henry from the Columbia School of Music will give a group of piano selections. Mrs. George Frazer will sing several songs, accompanied by Mrs. Robert Kingery. Os The Women's Bible class of the Winnetka Congregational church will meet in the Neighborhood room of Community House on Sunday morn- ing, at 9:45 o'clock. Mrs. William M. Morse will lead in the study of the Forty-eighth Psalm. A cordial invi- tation is extended to all women of the community. --_--Q-- Mrs. James F. Porter of Hubbard Woods is leaving on Tuesday to be present at the Congress of the Women's International League for Freedom, which is meeting in Wash- ington, May 1 to 8. She will meet her daughter, and attend the Bryn Mawr college May Day festivities. Mrs. Porter will fetn on May 12. Mr. and Mrs. tn Dillon, 1108 Spruce street, announce the birth of a daughter at the Evanston hospital on April 13. The baby has been named Nancy. --0-- Mr. and Mrs. John Tucker Metcalf of 1082 Cherry street, have announced the birth of a daughter at the Evans- ton hospital. April 18.
