The New York American rates Miss Gradova as a "player of exceptional gifts, consisting of strongly marked interpretative talent, splendidly virile attack, accurate technical mastery. and a sensitive touch and soulful tone." The piano which Miss Gradova will use is an instrument representing the best material and highest skill of the Steinway Piano company, it is ex- plained. He was turned over to North Chicago officials. Lawrence A. Janney Will Lead Sunday Men's Class Lawrence A. Janney, a well known res.dent of the village and assistant leader of the Sunday Morning Men's class, of the Congregational church, will be the speaker at the class discussion in Community House Sunday morning, October 5, at 9:30 o'clock. Mr. Janney will discuss the specific subject, "God, the Father," in relation to its bearing upon the general theme, "How Shall We Think of God?" which is occupying the attention of the class over a period of several Sundays. Mr. Janney is one of the most popu- lar of the speakers at Men's class ses- sions, possessing the faculty of present- ing his subject in a most comprehensive and understandable manner. His ap- pearance before the class this Sunday is expected to have the effect of en- couraging an unusually large attendance. The class attendance has been con- stantly increasing since the beginning of the new season of discussions sev- eral weeks ago.
