"International Golden Rule Sunday Isa test of our religion and our sin- cerity," its sponsors declare, "a day for measuring our lives by the uni- versally accepted standard of life. A day of plain living and high thinking and on that day all persons who be- lieve in the Golden Rule are asked, by way of remembrance, to partake of a simple meal and then, as a prac- tical demonstration, decide on an of- fering to help keep alive, shelter and train, the many thousands of children under American care in the Bible lands. Protestant Seminary in $4,000,000 Fund Drive Ministers of forty-eight different denominations are banded together in a nation-wide movement to raise $4,000,000 for Union Theological Sem- inary in the City of New York. The local representative of the movement is Rev. Daniel Stecker, who "is "a graduate of the seminary. Union Seminary is the largest graduate school of theology in Amer- ica, and the only one that is both strictly interdenominational and with- out official connection with any uni- versity. It has informal affiliation with Columbia and New York uni- versities. This year the seminary has en- rolled 424 students who have gradu- ated fom various colleges and are preparing for the ministry in many denominations. Five demominations are represented on the seminary's board of directors, seven on its fac- ulty and thirty-nine in its student body.
