You really should, according to the author of Racketty Packetty House, the play which will be given by students of the National Kindergarten and Elementary college for north shore children Saturday, December 13, at the Woman's Club of Evanston. The foreword, signed by Crosspatch, Queen of the Fairies, says "If you think dolls never do anything you don't see them do you are very much mistaken. When people are not looking they can do anything they choose. They can dance and sing and play the piano and have all sorts of fun. visit in all the dolls' houses where Fairies know this and of course fairies the dolls are agreeable." However, if there are any children who doubt the aliveness of dolls, Racketty Packetty House offers an excellent opportunity for each one to see with his own eyes the antics of Ridiklis, Gusti- bus, Peter Piper and the other dolls who have lived in Racketty Packetty House for three generations--to say nothing of the scorn- ful sniffs and tiffs of the lord and lady dolls in Tidy Castle. The story of Racketty Packetty House will be told over the Tribune radio station, WGN, during Skeezix Hour on Saturday, December 6, by Mrs. Wm. De Mille of Evanston, so that children who have not read the story may be ready for the rollicking fun of these "come to life" dolls.
