TI MASONS ENJOY REUNION NIGHT Hear Interesting Talks About Masonry Winnetka lodge No. 1078, A. F. & A. M. set aside Tuesday evening, January 27, for a reunion and get-together meet- ing of the charter members of the lodge and those who have become members since the lodge was chartered, and a fine, well-attended meeting was held. After opening the lodge all other work was dispensed with and a program of songs and talks by members of the lodge was enjoyed. Winnetka lodge is particularly fortu- nate in having in its membership men who can qualify as real speakers and on this occasion they called on their Chaplain, J. W. F. Davies, who gave a short talk on "Good Fellowship", and George Fraser, who talked on Masonry. Mr. Davies in his talk pointed out that a man could not attain his full develop- ment alone, and stressed the many ad- vantages of regular attendance at lodge meetings. He spoke of the unusual growth of Winnetka and the necessity of men meeting and knowing one an- other. The acquaintances and friend- ships thus made tending to make a unity of what might otherwise be small sepa- rate groups. Mr. Fraser related some of his ex- periences while in Scotland last summer, in particular he told of visiting the old house in Edinburgh where for 117 years some of Scotland's greatest men have attended Masonic lodge meetings. The lodge hall having a seating capacity of not over 30 and the entire building be- ing so small that it could be easily placed in the lodge room of Winnetka temple. His message on Masonry, its purposes, and meaning to the individual, gave to the Masons present a new slant on the meaning of their Masonic mem- bership. The evening's entertainment closed with several fine vocal solos by Mr. Rad- cliff after which the lodge was closed and refreshments served in the dining room. The attention of the members of the lodge was called to the special meeting PAINT Your Car Now While the weather is bad and you are not using it much. WINNETKA AUTO PAINTING CO. E. NUMETAL WEATHER STRIPS are made of a specially prepared spring metal that has been laboratory tested for temper. They are placed between the middle rails of your windows and between the window sash and the frame. They are invisible when the windows are closed, and the part exposed, when a window is open, has an attractive and substantial appearance. The spring and tension in the strips will take care of all shrinkage and expansion of the windows and doors, and will make a tight, yet easily operat- ed, window at all times.
