CH GIVEN NICE BOUQUET Experts Declare It Is "Most Efficient" The management of Community House has received a voluntary endorsement of a new kind, that of business efficiency. As a result of an analysis made by a well known firm of administration experts, the following letter was written, without solicitation, to the Board of Governors: ° "Board of Governors, Winnetka Community House, Winnetka, Ill. Gentlemen : "We take pleasure in advising you that our recent organization survey of your institution, shows that the business ad- ministration of the Community House is carried on in a very capable and well- directed manner. "The business efficiency of the organ- ization is most exceptional. Laxness in adminisiration is almost the rule among church and civic organizations, and the exception in the case of the Winnetka Community House will be of interest to the business men of the community, and should be brought to their attention. "The Community House is in a very healthy state of activity. It has become a real Community House, in fact as well as in name, with 70 to 80 groups meeting under its supervision weekly, served by 276 volunteer workers, en- gaged in promoting its wholesome activ- ities in the interest of the entire com- munity, regardless of class or society or religious affiliation. Booz Surveys, Hubbard Woods in Midst of Its "Clean-up" Job Ideal weather conditions encouraged the Hubbard Woods Improvement asso- ciation to launch out in earnest upon its announced task of renovating the envi- rons of the Hubbard Woods station. Following plans laid down by a spec- ial committee some weeks ago, the mem- bers of the association, and residents of the neighborhood generally, have set about with the task of converting the station precincts into a vertiable earth- ly paradise. It is proposed, before the job is called complete, to apply generous gobs of paint to all fences in the vicinity, to level up roadways, sow several tons of grass seed and plant numerous shrubs and saplings. When the job is done Hubbard Woods hopes to boast the finest appearing sta- tion grounds on the north shore. Mrs. and Mrs. Horace W. Armstrong have just returned to their home at 365 Sheridan road after a five weeks' sojourn in Florida.
