T. the general honor society at New 'Trier high school, and the Honor so- ciety, which is based on scholarship alone, was made Wednesday morning of this week in a special assembly in the school auditorium. The following were elected to T. N. T.: Seniors--Esther Beard, Teresa Back- us, Vera Hoerber, Catherine Moore, Franklin Arnold, Fred Broughton, Paul Brown, Robert Shoemaker. Juniors-- Helen Fraser, Charlotte Cornell, Verna Ravenscroft, Violet Ravenscroft, Frances Howard, Eunice Stoddard, Charlotte Waltz, Vera Mae. Ogden, Philip Brown, Milton Emrich, Wil- liam Jenks, William Martin, Fred Schmidt, Judson Thompson, Robert Kenyon, Frank Stover. Those elected to the Honor society were: Revel Chapman, Willard Cran- dall, Robert Drake, Robert English, Robert Garretson, Edward Hesler, George Massey, Prescott Olmstead, Sutton Pennington, Blake Roberts, John Roos, Irene Baehr, Marion Born, Mary Louise Buell, Mildred Burns, Helen Drynan, Eugenia Jones, Gene- vieve Klock, Rose Krupnick, Jean Markley, Catherine Moore, Frances Ranney, Elizabeth Richards, Estelle Swigart, Esther Wicks. T. is a society to which stu- dents are elected by former members of the society for all around school usefulness, such as participation in athletics; dramatics, music, journalism and membership in other school organi- zations. The students are recom- mended by teachers and deans of the school and are then voted on by for- mer members of the society. E. S. will be held Monday, April 27, at 7:30 o'clock in the evening, at the Temple. Dancing will follow at the conclusion of the business session. --0-- Miss Nellie Pacey, sister of Lincoln Pacey, 706 Ash street, who has been the houseguest of Mr. and Mrs. Pacey for the past six weeks, will return to her home in southern Illinois this week-end. ein The Entre Nous Matinee club will have its spring luncheon at the Great Northern hotel Rose room, later at- tending a matinee at the Cort theatre, where William Collier is playing "Going Crooked." --Q-- The "Pitch In" supper club will be entertained at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Haven, 419 Maple ave- nue, Saturday evening. This will be the last of these enjoyable affairs this season. ---- Mrs. Kenneth W. Curtis, and her small daughter, of 693 Walden road, are still sojourning in Phoeniz, Ariz. for the purpose of regaining their health. They will remain in the West for another year. --0= Mrs. Harry Craig, 592 Provident av- evenue, entertained a few friends at luncheon and bridge on Tuesday of last week in honor of Mrs. Robert Eldridge of Decatur, Ill, who was her house- guest for a brief time. --Q-- FL Mrs. Bruin, mother of Mrs. Richard Hoffman, 921 Pine street, has returned to her home in San Francisco, after passing seven weeks in Winnetka as the guest of her son-in-law and daugh- ter. ---- Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Freeman, 185 Chestnut avenue, entertained a few of their friends at dinner before at- tending the dance at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Lindsay. nO The George Adams of 748 Center street have moved into their new home at 1241 Ash street. Judge Arnold of the Juvenile court, gave a very interesting talk to the Senior and Junior league of the North Shore Congregation at the home of Mrs. Hugo Hartmann, 755 Lincoln av- enue, last Sunday evening. --_--Q-- Mr. and Mrs. Alvin E. Bastien of 1010 Hubbard lane also entertained a few friends at dinner before the "Nine O'Clock Frolic" dance. --_--Q-- The last dance of the "Nine O'clock Frolic" club was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Lindsay, 215 Ridge avenue, last Saturday night. ---- Mrs. C. W. Happ, Walnut avenue, entertained at bridge on Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. George Stewart of Fort Madison, la. ---- George Crossley spent the week-end with his son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Happ of 306 Walnut avenue. --_--0-- Mr. and Mrs. William Ogden Cole- man of 471 Hill road, are receiving congratulations upon the birth of a son, Marvin, on April 5. --(-- Mr. and Mrs. W. V.
