YAWL VOYAGEUR ENDS BIG CRUISE | Seascouts Have Windy Voy- age F rom Milwaukee The good yawl Voyageur with a crew of Seascouts and officers sailed into Wilmette harbor last Sunday afternoon, completing the first cruise in the new Seascout ship. The boat left Milwaukee, its former port, at 5 'o'clock Saturday afternoon. Head winds were met with all the way and the engine was used continuously. The boat was launched at 8 o'clock Saturday morning and the entire day was spent in rigging, fueling and pro- visioning the ship for its initial cruise under its new owners. The boat proved itself an excellent sea boat and very fast under sail and sower. The officers were more than delighted with its performance. A large number of people gathered at the harbor to greet the boat's arrival which was on schedule time. Due to adverse winds the boat motored into the harbor but made a pretty sight with pennants and ensign flying to the brisk wind. Portmaster Shaw and Seascout- master Cook were in command of the __yawl assisted by Mate Winzell and Engineer Challinor. Seascouts De- Berard, McKana, Boyden and Burge formed the balance of the crew and proved themselves real sailors. The Voyageur is owned jointly by Messrs. Shaw and Cook and the Wil- mette Seascouts and will make Wil- mette harbor her home port. ~Mr. and Mrs. Weinstock, 1005 Green- wood avenue, have gone to Ohio for a brief visit with relatives. reaping; no investing, no profit.
