Tenney has gone the honor of winning the special prize given by Joe Mac- Morran, the golf professional, for the aggregate score with handicap for the four events in August at Indian Hill club. Wednesday, August 26, in addition to being the time that decided the winner of the special prize, was also the occasion of a match for the low gross and low net scores on 18 holes, with the awards going to Mrs. Fletcher Marsh for the former, and the Mrs. Henry Tenney for the latter. Mrs. Tenney, however, tied with Mrs. James Prindeville for Tow net. Those enthusiastic golfers among the women members of Indian Hill who covet the club championship will as- semble on the links next Wednesday morning in the qualifying round of the tournament. Many Guests Play Over Sunset Ridge Course #YUNSET Ridge club played hos- tess Tuesday of this week to visitors from other golf clubs who enjoyed the events planned for the occasion. The several prizes of- fered both to members and their guests were won by the following players: guests, Mrs. Paul Chace of Glencoe, low gross; Miss Huston, Mrs. Chace's niece, sixth low gross; Mrs. Stacey Mosser, best total for four short holes, Mrs. Morenci, third low gross score for nine-hole play; members, Mrs. Harry Stanton, low medal play with handicap in class A and B; Mrs. J. Williams Macy, class C; Mrs. Theo- dore Rockwell, class D; Mrs. Harry Strickler, who was the winner after tieing with three other players for the best score on the four short holes. In the approaching and putting con- test in the afternoon Mrs. Barron had the best score among the guest, and Mrs. Francis Parker, Jr., won the prize for the members. No special events have been sche- duled for next Tuesday, but a prize will be given for the fewest putts on the round. Skokie Holding Extra Tournament for Women HE golf events scheduled for women during the month of Sep- tember are in charge of Mrs. W. G. Lerch of Evanston. The first event occurs Monday, September 7. commencing at 9 o 'clock in the morn- ing with a ball sweepstakes event of medal play for low gross and low net scores. The usual afternoon approach- ing and putting contest will take place in the afternoon. Monday three flights of eight players each qualified for the club tournament and the matches were played off dur- ing the week. In the putting event in the afgérnoon, Mrs. J. W. Cullen of Wilmette won, with Mrs. Frank Hason of Kenilworth runner-up. Next Week's Program at Wilmette Club Uncertain ECAUSE of the open day for the Women's Western Golf as- sociation held at Westward Ho club Tuesday, this week's program of events was postponed, and at the time of going to press the event for next season.
