pr; WINNETKA TALK October 10, 1925 B Marion Lasier Weds Amidst Setting of Autumn Colorings Autumn leaves in abundance, huge baskets of yellow chrysanthemums, and tall cathedral candles on either side of the main aisle leading to the altar formed the pretty and artistic setting for the wedding ceremony which united Miss Marion Lasier and Donald Kenneth Morrison last Satur- day evening in the Winnetka Con- gregational church. Rev. James Aus- tin Richards and Dr. J. W. F. Davies officiated. Mrs. James W. Harris, Jr., of Long Beach, Cal, a sister of the bride, was matron of honor, and the bride's little niece and nephew, Ruth and Jinny Harris, served as pages. Roger Morrison of Ann Arbor was his brother's best man, and the ushers were the bride's brother, John W. Lasier, J. Endicott Bradstreet, Stephen Claslin of Lombard, and Stanley Beau- mont and Lewis Emerling of Chicago. After a wedding trip of three weeks, which they will spend motoring in the East, Mr. and Mrs. Morrison will be at home to their friends after Feb- ruary 15, at their new home, 1271 Scott avenue. "Sin, Disease, Death Real?" --Is Lesson-Sermon The lesson-sermon at the First Church of Christ, Scientist, on Sun- day morning, October 11, will be "Are Sin, Disease and Death Real?" Services are held in the Masonic temple at 708 Elm street at 11 o'clock, and the testimonial meeting is held on Wednesday evening at 8 o'clock. Sunday school convenes at 9:35 o'clock. Boys Arrange Service Hour for Young People The sophomore bovs of the Winnet- ka Congregational Church school have taken the responsibility of caring for the details of a Youn& People's church service at 11 o'clock Sunday mornings. This service is open to members of the seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth grades. All are urged to come to the opening service Sunday morning, October 11. The subject of the sermon will be "The Value of Worship." Dr. J. W. F. Davies will preach. FACING THE MIRROR one is liable to find unpleasant facts reflected in one's face. Perhaps the hair shows prematurely grey in some places. Of course it is a hint of de- parting youth but also a hint that a visit to our beauty parlor would defy old age for years to come, in facial appearance as well as color of the hair. The difference in the smart looks of scme men's furnishings, compared with those other men wear, originates in the workrooms where the furnishings originate. The superior style and last- ing quality of haberdashery we sell results from the care we take to see that nothing of the "other sort" ever gets into our stocks. John H. How true it is right now as we see the WINNETKA TALK discard its old dress for one more becoming. How true it is in connection with this store where the old has been discarded in favor of the new--new fixtures, new merchandise, new faces. We welcome the TALK in its new form just as we welcome you to this store. We hope you come often. And if good merchandise, careful compound- ing and smiling service count for anything, you probably will. "Smiling Service" | Community Pharmacy C. R. PATCHEN, R.
