Appli- Get Merchants' Views on License Ordinance Members of the judiciary committee of the Village council and business men of the village were present at a public hearing on the proposed license ordinance which was held at the Village hall Monday evening of this week. The judiciary committee listened to the objectionsg of those directly concerned, who are propri- etors of restaurants and garages, cigaret dealers and real estate dealers. The Chamber of Commerce was represented by R. H. Schell, its president, and Frederick B. Thomas represented the North Shore Real Estate board. In connection with the | license ordinance the Village office has made a survey of license fees in Berwyn, Oak Park, Lake Forest, Highland Park, Wilmette, Evanston and Chicago. The suggestions of those present at the public hearing will be taken into consideration when the license law is finally drawn up, it was said.
