26 WINNETKA TALK November 28, 1925 Central Cafeteria Ready to Welcome Guests December 1 Fred A. Miller will be host at a unique reception Tuesday evening, December 1, when he throws open the doors of the new Central Cafeteria in the Nelson building for formal inspec- tion by the community. He announces a buffet luncheon to be served between the hours of 7 and 9 o'clock to those who will be pleased to tarry a while and give the dinning place their scrutinizing attention. Three thousand square feet of day- light dining space, is what Mr. Mil- ler will have for the accomodation of his prospective patrons, many of whom are familiar with the distinctive quality of service he provides, by virtue of having often enjoyed the genial hos- pitality of his celebrated Lake Shore Terrace. The new Central cafeteria is further described as "beautifully appointed with the most attractive of furnishings and equipment." His welcome for opening night extends to every resident of the community, New Trier Boys Attend State "Y" Conference The Illinois Older Boys' conference, held at Champaign-Urbana this week under the auspices of the Y. M. C.-A., will be attended by about 10 boys from New Trier High school. They were to arrive at the conference for its be- ginning this Friday evening and will return Monday morning. The purpose of the conference is to promote Chris- tian living. PLAN "FOLLIES" BENEFIT The board of managers of the North Avenue Day nursery have taken the second night of the Ziegfield "Follies," December 22, as a benefit for the nur- sery. Mrs. Emmons Blaine, Jr. is treasurer of this board, and Winnetka members are Mrs. Kent Chandler, Mrs. Francis Butler, Mrs. Donald Mec- Pherson and Mrs. Arthur Tuttle, who is now residing in Lake Forest.
