28 WINNETKA TALK December 5, 1925 Here's a New One: Kindergartners in Appeal for Boots Got any spare riding boots (ladies' sizes) ? Well, it's just like this. The young women students of the National Kin- dergarten and Elementary college which is erecting that magnificent new build- ing on Sheridan road at the Wilmette- Evanston line, are required, among their other athletic endeavors, to take a course in horseback riding, or is it Equestriennism ? With this requirement, of course, comes the problem of selecting riding habits. Well, the habits are available at reasonable cost, alright, but, the boots, they are, oh my, so expensive. Now then, some of the young women would like to get some boots at re- duced cost, so they have wisely ap- plied to Miss Mary Garretson, com- munity nurse, for advice. The resourseful Miss Garretson, in turn, has requested that persons hav- ing riding boots to spare leave them at Community House and she will "see that all boots are out to work with- out delay."
