December 19, 1925 WINNETKA TALK 17 Catholic League Enjoys Duo Art Musical Program| The monthly meeting of the North Shore Catholic Woman's league was held in the Winnetka Woman's club Tuesday, December 8, at 2:30 o'clock The president, Mrs. William Brown, urged all members to remember the filled stockings, sizes irom 5 to 7 years, for the orphans of St. Joseph's Home for the Friendless. The stockings are to be ready not later than December 20, and are to be delivered to Mrs. Harry Mills, Highland Park; Mrs. J. P. Enright, Glencoe; Mrs. E. C. Weis- senberg and Mrs. Charles G. Coyle, Winnetka; Mrs. J. S. Cook, Wilmette; Mrs. N. P. Anderson, Evanston. The program for the afternoon was a musicale, the artists, Olive June Lacey, soprano, William Beller, pianist, using the Steinway Duo Art. The en- tire program was most delightful, Miss Lacey proving herself to be a cultured and charming singer, and Mr. Beller a pianist of temperament and exquisite technique. The league feels very grateful to Lyon and Healy for this splendid entertainment. Tea was then served, closing a happy afternoon. The next meeting of the sewing cir- cle will be held Tuesday, December 30, at 2 o'clock, at the residence of Mrs. John Janette, 315 Abbottsford road, Kenilworth. HOLDS REGULAR MEETING Mrs. George Groves, 415 Davis street, Evanston, a member of the governing board of the National Kindergarten and Elementary college was hostess Monday afternoon to the North Shore Alumnae association of the college for the regular monthly meeting and so- cial hour. Mr. and Mrs. Heyliger A. de Windt will start East, December 22, to spend the holidays with the Delano de Windts at Great Barrington, Mass. Mrs. de Windt's father, John H. Ar- nold, will leave for Boston at the same time, where he is to visit his son, Ed- mund K. Arnold. Wellesley Circle Holds Its Christmas Meeting Christmas music and a three-scene Christmas Masque composed the pro- gram given at the meeting of the North Shore Wellesley circle Monday at the home of Mrs. Irwin Rew in vanston. Mrs. William Sherman Hay of Winnetka played a group of un- usual violin selections of quaint and unusual carols, and a group of north shore girls gave the reading, with the music accompaniment played by Miss Muriel Hypes of Evanston. PLANS KIDDIES' PARTY The Woman's Club of Wilmette is giving a Children's party December 30, at 2:30 o'clock. Georgene Faulkner better known as "The Story Lady," will come to the children as Mrs. Santa Claus. Her evening talks over radio station WMAQ, are sources of great pleasure to the children. GIVE JOLLY PARTY The Friendship circle gave a bunco party December 8, at Community House. More then 50 guests gathered for the pleasure the evening offered.
