Glencoe, IIL We will be glad to mail RESUME ORGAN RECITALS The third season of noonday organ recitals by Arthur Dunham at the Chi- cago Temple building, First Methodist Episcopal church, commenced Tuesday, October 5, and throughout the ensuing months, the recitals will be given Tues- days and Fridays. George W. Dixon, president of the board of trustees of the Chicago Temple, announced that the organ recitals were so popular last year, that the trustees had decided to have two each week instead of one. Thirty-one concerts were given last year, and more than 50,000 persons were present. A great many north shore residents attend. ILL. - For You To Develop Athletic Field on McCormick In order to provide summer recrea- tion facilities for its employees in this district, the Public Service Company of Northern Illinois, has acquired a large tract of open prairie at the corner of Cleveland street and McCormick boulevard, Niles Center. This tract will be gradually de- veloped into a regular athletic field with baseball diamonds, tennis courts, soccer field and so forth, according to the company's plan. A sum of money has been set aside to help in this development but a large share of the labor on the new field will be supplied by the employees as the project is for their benefit. It is expected that the tennis court will be finished this season and much of the area will be in use during the winter when it is flooded for skating. Edward Zipf Purchases Residence in Kenilworth Edward Zipf, a resident of Wilmette for many years and former president of the village, has sold his residence at 925 Lake avenue and about November 1, will move to Kenilworth. His property was sold to Albert H. Ullrich, owner of Lord's store, Evans- ton. Eddington and Allen, Inc., of 410 Linden avenue, represented both par- ties. Mr. Zipf's new residence in Kenil- worth will be at 243 Warwick road, which he recently purchased from his sister, Mrs. George Moody. Lutherans to Attend Meetings in Chicago Members of St. John's Lutheran church in Wilmette and Trinity Luth- eran church in Glencoe are planning to attend the sessions and view the ex- hibits of the Missouri Synod of the denomination, to be held in the Sher- man hotel, Chicago, Saturday and Sun- day of this week. There are to be special meetings for children Saturday morning and a va- riety of other gatherings during the two days.
