Dr. Smith has been superintendent of the Western district, of the Rock River conference for sev- eral years and occupies a prominent place in church circles. Builds New $55,000 Home On Corner Property Here The northwest corner of Oak and Walnut streets, Winnetka, is being im- proved with a beautiful eight-room house of the French style of archi- tecture, and on 'which' work has just been started. The development is be- ing made by P. W. Bradstreet, whose S. Beman, Jr. The house is being built for the market, Mr. Bradstreet announces, and it is said the cost of the property will be around $55,000. The site is one of the prettiest cor- ners in Winnetka, having a frontage of 120 feet on Oak street and 140 feet on Walnut, being beautifully wooded and landscaped. The house will be of white stucco with brick corners. It will be an eight-room structure, with three bathrooms, a very large open or screened porch with arched doorways and possessing many spe- cial features. It will be situated over- looking the old home of Edwin Clark, the well known architect. LEAVE FOR WEDDING Mr. and Mrs. Ben C. Rich of 1409 Scott avenue and their two sons left Wednesday, October 13, on a motor trip to Minneapolis, where they will attend the wedding of their son Francis Marion, to Miss Mildred Buffington. The wedding will take place October 16, at Plymouth Congregational church in Minneapolis. Mr. and Mrs. Rich expect to remain about a week.
