Crescendon Among Numerous Features of the Crosley 5-50 "The Crosley Crescendon, part of the standard equipment of the five- tube 5-50, is a patented device which permits the building up of weak sig- nals to full room volume, without dis- tortion," says C. H. Affeldt, of the Radio Service shop, 18 Prouty Annex, Winnetka, who handles this line. "Hundreds of thousands of listeners have found weak stations on their dials," he says, "and worked to build up the strength so the sig- nals would be at least audible, without success. They have wished there was some device on the set which would permit the increasing of the volume of these stations--but have wished in vain until the Crescendon was de- veloped. This Crescendon is just what they wanted. It builds up signals of stations, inaudible on other sets, to full room volume."
