January 1, 1927 WINNETKA TALK 27 Wild Party Ends in Clubbing Match and Court Penalty) Two beatings in one night and robbed of $100 were charges which Louis Cimmaruski of Highland Park preferred against three Wilmette youths, but when the case came up for trial before Justice R. E. Sinsheimer, in Winnetka, Tuesday afternoon this week, evidence was not sufficient to convict on the robbery charge and it was dismissed. The three defen- dants, John Kriesant, Joseph Conrad and Joseph Koza, were found guilty of the assault and battery charge, how- ever, and fined; Kriesant, $50 and the other two, $25, each. The plaintiff charges the trouble started at a party west of Winnetka. The trio he said, assaulted him and then followed him to Winnetka, and while he was at a restaurant, went to the police station, where, from the police, who were given the automobile license number, learned that Cimmar- uski lived at Highland Park. When he started home the trio, he says, dragged him, and at Vernon avenue and Green Bay road, Glencoe, pulled him from his car and beat him up un- mercifully, and Cimmaruski claims, robbed him, The assailants then assisted their victim to a garage and helped to wash the blood from his face and get on his way home.
