March 5, 1927 WINNETKA TALK 21 International Club Now New at National College The International club, organized last week by the foreign students of the National Kindergarten and Ele- mentary college, promises to be an unusually interesting and worth while organization. Twelve students from foreign countries, founders of the club, together with an equal number of American students, selected from the list of applicants because of out- standing interest in foreign countries, form the active membership for the present year. Former students of the college who came from other countries or who are engaged in work in other countries, are eligible to associate membership. The club will make a study of the conditions and problems which must be faced in other lands, with the hope of fostering a better understanding and a truer friendship between individuals, and eventually between nations. Miss Penka Kassabova of Sophia, Bulgaria, a sophomore, was elected chairman of the club, the membership of which includes the following stu- dents from foreign countries: Dagne Aquist, Sweden; Jane Gdule- wicz, Poland; Madelyn Chen, China; Alice Ling, China; Vera Hunte, Brit- ish West Indies; Clara Tutt, and Flor- ence Tritt, Canada; Lucy Russell, mis- sionary to Japan; Anna Brumbaugh, missionary to India; Edith Shufelt, missionary to China; Elizabeth Hobart (of Evanston), missionary to China.
