The average expenditure for public schools in Illinois cities is $12.49 per capita per annum, Mosquito Fighters Happy Over Abatement Measure North shore health officials and lead- ers in the mosquito abatement move-| ments in the various villages have ex- pressed gratification over the passage of Bill No. 26 by the recently ad- journed state legislature making it law- ful for communities to ask the public at election to vote on the proposition of assessing a small tax for abatement purposes. The bill is based upon the California mosquito abatement act which is said to have brought excellent results.
