j "lh December 10, 1927 WINNETKA TALK "Russia Today" Will Be Shown in Movie Films The first uncensored motion picture of conditions in Russia in the tenth year of the Soviet regime will be shown at the Chicago Playhouse, 410 S. Michigan avenue, beginning Sun- day, December 11. It is called "Rus- sia Today--the Land Nobody Knows" and was produced during a survey of the American Student Delegation, this past summer. So much propaganda has reached America regarding the Soviet Union that no one seems to have any idea about what is actually taking place there, and Russia today stands as the enigma of Europe. Without taking sides, "Russia Today" depicts the true state of affairs, both the good and the bad. The American Student Delegation was composed of members of social and economic organizations of about forty of the leading American colleges and universities. They received carte blanche from the Soviet authorities and were permitted to photograph what- ever they wished, without interference in any way from the Government. A heat- ing plant will be installed, the interior of the basement of the temple embel- lished, acoustics improved; precious rugs from the shrines on Mount Carmel, Pal- estin, will grace the walls, and the sur- roundings be made attractive for wor- ship by the residents along the north shore. Students from universities and colleges seeking information and aele- gated to write theses by their alma mat- ers are welcome to use the library and reading room at 112 Linden avenue, which is open daily. The service at the studio on the 18th inst. will be the last this year. In deference to the Christmas and New Year festivities, Bahai meetings will be suspended till Sunday, January 8, 1928.
