Phone Wilmette 1733-1734 Evanston Theater to Reopen Dec. 26 With Loop Stars Definite arrangements have been completed by Clyde Elliott, manager of the New Evanston theater, to open his showhouse Monday, Dec. 26, with a stock company composed of dramatic stars, including several members of the former Evanston Players. The first bill will probably be "The Last of Mrs. Cheyney." Among those who have appeared in Evanston before and whose talents are recognized by theater goers here are Gene Clarendon, Karl Way, Lew J. Welch and Rita Zane. The leading lady of the new company will be Mary Fuller, now playing on the Pacific coast. Other newcomers announced by Mr. Elliott are Robert White, juvenile; George Pembroke and Beatrice Leib- lee. The new leading man is now a mem- ber of the cast of one of the first-line loop productions. A glance at the list of shows an- nounced for production during the winter will delight every lover of the stage. Included are: "What Ann Brought Home," "Craig's Wife," "Wild Westcotts," "The Ghost Train," "Lightnin'," "The Fool," "White Col- ars," "Stella Dallas," "If I Was Rich," "East is West," "Hell Bent for Heav- en" and "The Showoff."
