Fulton, 884 Hill road, returned home last Saturday after undergoing a major operation at the Augustana hospital, where she had been since early in December. She and Mr. Fulton and their daughter, Helen, accompanied by Mrs. Fulton's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Nate Simmons of Eagle Grove, Iowa, are leaving for Florida. They will spend a week or two at the Miami Biltmore, Coral Gables, and will take a cottage for the re- mainder of their stay. Mr. Fulton will snend three or four weeks and Mrs. Fulton and Helen will remain the rest of the season. Edmund Fulton has returned to complete his fresh- man year at Wabash college. CHOIR CONCERT WEDNESDAY A musical entertainment will be given by the Edgewater Covenant church choir on behali of the Chris- tian Fellowship church of Winnetka, on Wednesday, February 8 at 8 o'clock, at the Parish House, on Oak and Linden streets, Winnetka. North free from the All these to- Laundry Shore | Dr. C. W. Gilkey Sermon by M. E. Pasi to Speak Before Sunday Eve Club The speaker at the Glencoe Sunday Evening club of Glencoe. January 22, will be Dr. Charles W. Gilkey, minis- ter of Hyde Park Baptist church of Chicago, and professor in the Univer- sity of Chicago. Dr. Gilkey recently spoke before the Chicago Sunday Eve- ing club and is one of the most popu- lar platform orators in the country. Dr. Gilkey delivered the famous Barrows lectures in India in 1923. He made a profound impression on the thought life of that oriental country and the other countries of the far East. The series of lectures have since been put into book form under the title: "Jesus and This Genera- tion." He also delivered the Cole lectures before Vanderbilt university recently. These lectures are published under the title, "Present-Day Dilem- mas in Religion." Having traveled widely and observed wisely, Dr. Gilkey brings a rich ex- perience to his audience. He is an excellent scholar and masterful speak- er. The subject of his address before the Glencoe Sunday Evening club will be, "Jesus as a World Figure." Mrs. William R. Schuster will offer an organ recital beginning at 7:45 o'clock. Mrs. Betty Huston Herlock- er, soloist, will sing. Ths service will be held in the North Shore Methodist church, corner Hazel and Greenleaf avenue, Glencoe.
