He will lecture at the First Presby- terian church under auspices of its Women's organization, relating the ad- ventures which have afforded keen en- joyment and fascination to audiences in the larger cities of America. He is author of 'The Royal Road to Romance" and 'The Glorious Adventure" --books which tell of his travels during which he swam the Hellespont, climbed Olympus, ran the Marathon over the original course, scaled the Acropolis walls by night, charged up Mt. Parnassus, danced through the Vale of Tempe, made a lone pilgrimage to the sequestered grave of Rupert Brooke on a lonely Grecian isle, almost swam the evil straits be- tween Scylla and Charybdis, ran three times around the walls of Troy, found the Lotus Land and eventually came, as did Ulysses, back to the very hilltop where the royal wanderer slaughtered the hundred suitors of Penelope. Young Mr. Halliburton at 27 is reputed to bring to the platform the irrepressible spirit and impetuosity of youth, and ap- pears as a poet of charm and tenderness who refuses to be disillusioned by the hardships and realities of life.
