PATROL MEETINGS FEATURED Twenty-two Scouts attended the re- cent meeting of Troop 52 of the Deer- field Presbyterian church. RAVINIA PREPARES FOR CLASH Troop 35 of Ravinia last Wednesday broke all of its former attendance records with 25 Scouts present. Mr. Bentley continued his first-aid instruc- tion, The troop spent last week end with Mr. Bennett, Scoutmaster at the Cabin-in-the-Woods.--Junior Assis- tant Scoutmaster Oscar Goepner. HOLD JUMPING CONTESTS By way of variety at the last meet- ing of Troop 24 of Sacred Heart church, Hubbard Woods, contests in high jumping and broad jumping were held.--Scribe E. Frankel. TROOP 32 ADDS NEW SCOUTS Eighteen Scouts were present at our last meeting. We voted 3 new Scouts into the troop. After the meeting we went for a swim.--Scribe Alec W. Howard. STRONG FEBRUARY PROGRAM Glenview 55 held a Father and Son banquet, a clean-up day, made 2 trips to the Forest Preserve, and added 2 new Scouts, in addition to 5 Scouts advancing in rank. The troop put on a demonstration before the American Legion and took a trip to the Chicago Merit Badge Exposition. The troop is starting a home patrol at the Rubens school. TEST CAMP AT CABIN Beginning on Saturday, March 17, and extending throughout the summer a test and instruction camp will be maintained every Saturday at the Cabin-in-the-Woods irom 9 to 12 in the morning. Entire troops, patrols or individuals may report for instruc- tion or to pass tests. N. S. SCOUT TO LONDON It is possible that a Scout from one of the North Shore troops may have the opportunity of attending the Inter- national Scout Jamboree which will be held in London, in August, 1929. The plans for the program are now being made. TALK ON POLITICS Hoyt King will address the Business and Professional Women's club at its meeting at the Congregational church on March 28 on the topic, "Current Cook County Politics." SWIM AGAINST MICHIGAN Coach Tom Robinson's swimming team faces its strongest competition of the season so far in the undefeated Michigan aggregation at Northwest- ern pool Saturday evening. Michigan is given the edge in the contest. Lead- ing swimmers of the Big Ten con- ference will be seen in the meet in Colbath, fancy diver; Hinch, back- stroke artist, and Lennox, sophomore breast stroke entry for the Purple, and Michigan's star performer, Dar- nell, who swims the free style events.
