Kyser of Chicago has purchased from William F. Blades the nine room brick and tile residence at 1004 Sheridan road, Wilmette. Mr. Blades took as part payment a 100 foot lot on Sheridan road in Kenil- worth on which he is now erecting a home. Mr. Kyser, who is a Depart- ment manager for Marshall Field and company, will occupy his new Wil- mette home after May 1. R. M. Johnston and company of Linden ave- nue, Wilmette, were the brokers. Ultra-Modern Co-op for Sheridan Rd. in Chicago Features of unusual interest are included in the ultra-modern 3000 Sheridan Road 100 Percent Co-opera- tive apartment building facing Lincoln park, Chicago. These include a com- pletely equipped gymnasium, putting greens, children's playrooms of the most modern design and appointment, stone fireplaces in all apartments and electric refrigeration throughout. "My Family Enjoys Living in Deere Park" "Every one in the family is so keenly enjoying all seasons of the year in this beauty spot. Summer, winter, spring or fall--it makes no difference, Deere Park is beautiful, and Deere Park is their home. "The family has learned to know one another so much better since we are in our own home, enjoying our own fireside. "The children are thriving in their play in this healthful, fresh air. My wife has learned to appreciate our motor car, for she can drive on uncongested roads now. And I am a better worker for the restful relaxation of the place, after a day at the office. "Yes, my whole family enjoys living in Deere Park." --at the Lake Ti HIGHLAND PARK HUBBARD HILLS NYO wo KENILWORTH] SN, A DEERE PARK RESIDENT. The Public Service companies, al- ways wide awake to future business have already placed their gas mains and electric service within easy reach of all property owners. Called Good Investment The automobile makes the excellent shopping centers, schools, churches, theaters and bathing beaches of the shore villages within easy reach. Over fourteen miles of bridal paths are available for the horse lover through the private estates and Forest Preserves, which, when completed, will include golf courses, winding wooded drives and plentiful playgrounds. We have no factories to darken our skies with their smoke nor to disturb the rest of the home lover, but the owners of the factories of Chicago will find this Skokie Ridge a fine place to come for their recreation and rest after their work. : Chicago is the great work-shop. The suburbs are the bed-rooms of Chicago, and on our north shore is the Master Bed-room, where your rest is sweeter. But our Skokie Ridge not only is the most desirable for its open air and sun- shine, but it is still a fine investment, as in the future thousands will live there. McGuire and Orr Report Increase in Vacant Demand Recent transfers through McGuire & Orr's office show a stronger tenden- cy toward vacant property than toward the purchase of homes. This is un- usual at this time of the year. McGuire & Orr report consistent inquiry for homes, but the number of sales closed are greatly in favor of vacant properties. Vernon R. Loucks of Chicago has acquired the lot at the Southeast cor- ner of Kenilworth avenue and Leices- ter road, Kenilworth. The lot meas- ures 125x175 feet and was sold for $25,000. In Glencoe, the home of Charles O. Law on Greenwood avenue, north of Park avenue, has been sold to Frank E. Compton. The lot is 150x200 feet, improved with an old frame residence of negligible value. The property is located directly across the street from Mr. Compton's home. The sale price was $17,500. Very interesting in this connection is the fact that this proper- ty has been transferred but four times from the date the Government con- veyed the land. The Law family ac- quired the property in 1875. Harold A. Smith of Los Angeles, California, has sold to Roy B. Zimmer and Edward G. Huber of Highland Park, the property consisting of about 600 feet frontage on Green Bay road and Ridgewood Drive, Highland Park The purchase was made for invest- ment, several of the lots having been re-transferred.
