Such was the an- nouncement made yesterday by Betty Sargent, secretary of the affair, under whose direction all statistics, letters and business matters are conducted. Miss Sargent stated that the num- ber entered this season would be even greater than the 848 which participated in the circus in 1927. "So far over one thousand students will be engaged either directly or indirectly in the af- fair," she stated, "and by the time that the circus comes off two weeks from now more than that will have signed up in some stunt or other." Ruth Finn, who this year holds the position of Circus Sally, issued a final call yesterday for the girls who will aid in distribution of circus Barkers, the scandal sheet, and she also asked for final volunteers in assisting in running . the side-shows. The circus Barker, ? by the way, is to be issued this year by Sigma Delta Chi, honorary journalistic fraternity, and an extra warm dish of campus scandal is prophesied. Colorful costumes, this year, will be taken care of by Vesper Getman who is in charge of all regalia to be worn in the circus. Some 300 costumes will be ordered and distri- buted by Miss Get- man during the next week. Tickets © for the circus will go on sale next week, accord- ing to an announce- ment made Wednes- Betty Sargent Ruth Finn Vesper Getman day ° by business manager Walter Kolbe.
