2 WINNETKA TALK April 14, 1928 550 MILES OF CANDY Enough candy bars to make a solid bar more than 550 miles long if placed end to end were recently shipped in five trainloads to the west on the Chi- cago & North Western railway. In one shipment there were 1,800,000 bars, enough to supply every man, woman and child in the cities of Salt Lake, Billings, Great Falls and Helena, Mont., Seattle, Portland, San Fran- cisco and Los Angeles with one bar each. An unprecedented volume of candy is now being moved out of Chi- cago, according to freight traffic offi- cials of the railroad.
